(NB This is a rough guide to the design process, each project and client will receive a bespoke service appropriate to their project.)

Step 1

Following your initial enquiry I will send you a detailed questionnaire to allow me to understand your needs and requirements.  Once I’ve had a look over your answers I will book you a spot in my calendar and ask for a deposit of half the total cost.

Step 2

Next I will create a Pinterest board for you to share all of your inspiration, be it colours, websites, images etc, to give me a feel of the appropriate design direction.  Using all of the information gathered I will put together some sketches and mood boards for your comment and feedback.

Step 3

Next, if you have the branding packages I will send you three logos in black and white for you to chose from and comment on before developing one into the colour design.  If you have the web design package I will send you a mock up of the homepage for your for comment and I will make up to three rounds of revions on the layout until you're completely happy with the design.

Step 4

This is where I get busy and set out all of your pages and block out your content.  During this phase you will gather together and send me all of the content you wish to include on the site.

Step 5

The final draft of your site will be emailed to you for final comments and revisions.  When you are happy with the layout the final payment will be due.

Step 6

At this stage I will transfer the site to your server, or in to your name, walk you through the process for adding content, publishing a blog post, etc and give you a document including any files, fonts and colours used.

If you’re a complete newbie to the website game please check out this blog post which breaks down all the terms you need to understand and the step by step process of setting up your own website.
