 How does it work?

Step 1

After your purchase you will receive a PDF containing a link to the course platform where all of your tutorials can be easily accessed.

Step 2

Within 48 hours of purchase, a copy of the website template will be transferred to you.

Step 3

You will work through the step by steps videos, replacing the content on the template site with your own business name, text and images.

Step 4

You will upgrade your Squarespace account, connect your domain and go live (and don’t worry, you’ll have videos covering all of that too!)!

What you need

  • Images and text to substitute into the website. If you’re short on images your Squarespace account includes stock images. All of the images used in the demo site are from the Squarespace Unsplash database.

  • Squarespace Subscription - once you have customised your site you will have to upgrade to a paid Squarespace plan before you can publish your account - click for pricing plans

What you don’t need

  • An existing Squarespace account

  • A website address (domain) - once you have created a new Squarespace account and upgraded to a paid plan, you will be able to receive a free website address (domain) for the first 12 month.

 Important Info

When you purchase this template a brand new website will be created for you on the Squarespace platform. If you already have a Squarespace website with a paid subscription, you will need to contact Squarespace to cancel this subscription and arrange a refund. You can then set up a new paid account.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The templates are designed for brand new Squarespace websites.

  • There are a few different pricing plans on offer from Squarespace and I would recommend either Business or Commerce, depending on whether or not you want an online store. You can see the current pricing here. You will receive a 20% discount on the first year of the annual plan.

  • Yes! Absolutely everything can be customised, from fonts, colours, logo, backgrounds. We cover each of these customisations in a video in the tutorial course.

  • Yes, you can point any domain towards your new Squarespace website.

  • If you don’t already have an account, I would just hold off until you make the purchase. You will be prompted to create an account once the website is transferred to you.

    If you want to create an account first, to get to know the platform, don’t upgrade to a paid subscription as this can’t be transferred to your new website and will have to be cancelled.

  • This template is for new Squarespace websites ONLY. That means if you already have a Squarespace account, you can still purchase this template and have it transferred to your account, however you will have to cancel your existing subscription with Squarespace.

Hi, I’m Kirsty!

This is me at my first food fair not long after I started my home baking business.

When I started my bakery I DIY’d everything. From my logo and website to my accounting and marketing. As it turned out, I preferred designing branding and websites to baking (although I still love to whip up a batch of cupcakes!) and Bake This Happen was born.

I now use my bakery running knowledge and design skills to create simple-to-use website templates created specifically with bakeries in mind.
